Meshal Jaber AlFaras is Head of Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia at Janus Henderson Investors, a position he has held since 2012. Prior to joining the firm, Meshal was head of gulf cooperation council (GCC) with Royal Capital PJSC in Abu Dhabi from 2008. Before that, he was director at Natixis Global Associates from 2007. He was an equities and fixed income investment manager with Kuwait Investment Authority from 1997 to 2007. Meshal sat on the boards of directors for several financial institutions from 2005 to 2009. Additionally, he held positions with Kuwait Financial Markets Association from 1998, including his role as secretary general and vice president of the association’s board from 1999 to 2007.
Meshal received his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from San Jose State University. He has 29 years of financial industry experience.
