Adrian Banner, PhD

Adrian Banner is Chief Executive and Chief Investment Officer of Intech^®, positions he has held since 2012. Since joining Intech in 2002, Adrian has been an integral part of the firm’s Princeton-based Research Team. In 2009, he was named Intech’s co-chief investment officer. Adrian has extensive knowledge of the firm’s trading systems, optimisation programs, and research initiatives, both on an operational and theoretical basis. He has lectured on the stability of market capitalisation and low-volatility equity portfolios at a number of academic and professional conferences and has authored several scholarly papers on Stochastic Portfolio Theory. His book, titled The Calculus Lifesaver, has been praised for being “one of the clearest mathematics texts” and “an indispensable volume for any student seeking to master calculus.”

Adrian earned his BSc and MS degrees in mathematics from the University of New South Wales. He received his doctorate in mathematics from Princeton University. He has 21 years of financial industry experience.
