Janus Henderson Investors has hired Charley Smith and Mark Weir as associate directors, focussing on UK business development and UK clients respectively.

These hires follow the appointment of Mark Fulwood and Anil Shenoy in 2017.

Head of EMEA Institutional, Nick Adams, says “Charley and Mark are joining in newly created roles built on the success of Janus Henderson’s UK institutional business in recent years. They will be excellent additions to our long-standing team, helping us to maintain the highest standards of client service as well as reach a broader audience in this important and growing market.”

Charley joins from Deutsche Bank Wealth Management where she spent three years as a client advisor actively building assets throughout Southern Europe across a varied client base. Prior to this, she spent seven years at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management.

Mark joins from Legal & General Investment Management, where he spent three years as a senior client relationship executive with responsibilities across £6bn of client assets. Prior to this, Mark worked at State Street Global Advisors as a senior equities portfolio analyst and Macquarie Bank in Sydney, Australia.
