Global Structured Debt Insight – June 2021
The Global Structured Debt Insight – June 2021, is a new publication by the Janus Henderson Global Structured Debt Team, which aims to explore topical themes in structured debt markets and share the team’s thinking on key issues of interest.
- In the debut edition, the team explain why they see value in securitised markets across the developed world and why such investments deserve a much closer look in the current environment of low yields and potentially rising interest rates.
- With environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria becoming increasingly influential in investment decisions within financial institutions, the team look at how European secured loans are the latest asset class to embrace ESG with a new trend of ESG linked margin ratchets.
- Finally, given the current focus on climate risk and investors looking to integrate the risk into their investment considerations, they explore ways to analyse carbon emissions in mortgage-backed portfolios using the UK as a case study.
