Chris Benway, CFA

Chris Benway is a Portfolio Manager and Director of Research at Janus Henderson Investors, position’s he has held since 2025 and 2024, respectively. He was previously associate director of research from 2023. In addition to his portfolio management role, he oversees the firm’s central equity research teams and performs analysis on the Industrials & Materials Sector Research Team. Prior to joining the firm in 2018 as an analyst, Chris was a research analyst at Kayne Anderson Rudnick from 2014. Before that, he was a research associate with Hotchkis & Wiley Capital Management from 2012 and an equity analyst with Palisades Investment Partners from 2010. Chris began his career with Liberty Mutual Group as a senior underwriter.

Chris earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Colorado – Boulder, graduating Phi Beta Kappa, and an MBA from the University of California – Los Angeles, Anderson School of Management. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and has 15 years of financial industry experience.
