Carsten Olberding

Carsten Olberding is a Managing Director at Janus Henderson Investors. He joined the firm in 2026 following Janus Henderson’s acquisition of Rantum Capital. Carsten joined Rantum Capital as managing director in 2014 and was involved in the majority of its private debt transactions. Before this, he held senior leadership roles in subordinated and senior lending at Deutsche Bank, IKB, DZ Bank, and Haspa, the largest German savings bank, where he served as director for the mezzanine portfolio. He also spent several years in the workout division of IKB.

Carsten received a master’s degree in business from the University of Applied Sciences Landshut. He has 35 years of financial industry experience.
