Sorin Pirău is a Portfolio Manager on the Emerging Markets Debt Hard Currency (EMD HC) Team at Janus Henderson Investors. Prior to joining the firm in 2022, he was with Danske Bank Asset Management (DBAM) from 2012, first as an analyst and then a portfolio manager on the EMD HC team from 2013 where he contributed toward the launch of the EMD HC strategy that same year.

Sorin received a BSc degree in economic informatics from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and an MSc in economics from the University of Copenhagen. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, the CESGA certification and the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing. He is a member of the Principles for Responsible Investment’s Sovereign Debt Advisory Committee and has 11 years of financial industry experience.
