Seeks to provide exposure to a broadly passive core of European equities while using differentiated investment strategies aimed at enhancing returns but with a low level of additional risk.
ABOUT THIS STRATEGY
The strategy seeks to combine the benefits of low cost-efficient passive investing with the potential for incremental added value above an equity market index. Alpha strategies employed include Relative Value (inefficiencies in a company’s capital structure), Event Driven opportunities such as mergers, takeovers and index changes, Liquidity (exploiting supply and demand conditions for stocks), and Fundamental (valuation driven over and underweights vs the index).
The value of an investment and the income from it can fall as well as rise as a result of market and currency fluctuations and you may not get back the amount originally invested. Past performance does not predict future returns.
Alternative enhanced index process: We seek to capitalize on persistent inefficiencies within our investible universe of stocks – beginning with establishing an efficient passive core, overlaid with differentiated lowly correlated enhancement strategies designed to diversify the sources of excess return.
Experienced investment team: Our diversified alternatives team has an average of nearly 20 years investment experience, led by Portfolio Manager David Elms.
Long-term, established track record: The portfolio has delivered attractive, risk-adjusted returns for over ten years, while Janus Henderson has a track record of managing enhanced index strategies since 1997.
