Janus Henderson Investors has appointed Alex Barr to join its UK Multi-Asset and Alternatives team in London. Alex will report to Paul O’Connor, Head of Multi-Asset Investments and work alongside James de Bunsen and Peter Webster, as co-manager on a number of Multi-Asset Alternatives funds, including the Henderson Alternative Strategies Trust plc, on which Alex will be a Senior Portfolio Manager alongside James de Bunsen and Peter Webster.
Alex joins from Aberdeen Standard Investments, where he was Global Head of Private Markets and Real Estate Investment Oversight. Alex has 26 years of experience in financial markets, specialising in alternative assets. Alex previously held the role of Head of Private Equity at Aberdeen Asset Management and lead manager of Aberdeen Private Equity Fund Ltd.
