Copenhagen – Janus Henderson Investors has appointed Mia Söderberg as Client Portfolio Manager for Emerging Markets Debt. She will be responsible for representing Janus Henderson’s Emerging Markets Debt strategies to clients, consultants, and key distribution partners globally. The role forms part of the firm’s continued investment in expanding its on‑the‑ground expertise in EMEA to meet growing client demand for specialist investment insight. Based in Copenhagen, Mia will report to Kareena Moledina, Lead Client Portfolio Manager EMEA.
Mia brings extensive experience in fund selection and performance research, having spent over two decades in senior roles across leading financial institutions. Most recently, she served as Senior Manager – Asset Manager Selection at Munich Re Group Investment Management, where Emerging Markets Debt was a major focus area of hers. Mia’s prior roles included Senior Portfolio Manager in Manager Selection at Nykredit AM and Head of Fund Selection at IKC Capital. Mia holds a Master of Science in Business and Economics from Uppsala University.

On 1 September 2022, Janus Henderson expanded its global fixed income platform with the hiring of a four person Emerging Market Debt team, bringing with it a long and established track record. Since joining Janus Henderson, the team has continued this performance, delivering a highly competitive risk adjusted return profile with top quartile rankings for information ratio and Sharpe ratio versus peers[1]. The team now manages more than USD 3bn.
