Diversity Project (2025)

The Diversity Project seeks to achieve diversity across all dimensions, including gender, ethnicity, socioeconomic background, LGBT, SMART working, returners, neuro-inclusion, and disability. This cross-company initiative works with its 65+ member firms to complement and amplify existing initiatives through a joined-up and intensive approach with a sense of urgency.

Janus Henderson is proud to be a founding member of the Diversity Project North America, an organisation seeking to drive measurable and sustainable change with content aimed at developing and sharing tested practices and benchmarks to evolve the industry as a whole.

Arupe Jesuit High School

Arrupe Corporate Work Study Programme (2025)

Janus Henderson is a partner of the Arrupe Corporate Work Study Programme provided by Denver’s Arrupe Jesuit High School. Students enrolled in the programme fill entry-level office positions in banking, law, medicine, finance, and many other exciting career fields. The experience provides tremendous opportunity for economically disadvantaged students to get a college-prep education.

Investment 20/20 (2025)

Investment 20/20 is a UK-based organisation driven by the mission of bringing more diverse talent into all aspects of investment management. Janus Henderson partners with Investment 20/20 through our Trainee Programme, which recruits candidates based on their drive to succeed and desire to learn, rather than academic qualifications.

Janus Henderson is proud to be awarded the Gold Standard by LGBT Great. This designation is given to organizations that complete the Inclusion Index Benchmarking Tracker (iiBT). Gold, Silver, and Bronze standards are awarded to participating organizations that achieve the required standard of scores. This designation enables members to see where they are on their LGBTQ+ journey.

UK Women in Finance Charter (2024)

Janus Henderson is committed to creating a workplace that reflects the communities in which we operate and leverages the diversity of thought among our workforce. As of the current year, our UK workforce comprises 36% female representation, maintaining the level achieved in 2024. As of 31 August 2025, we have 31% UK female representation in senior management which marks a significant increase compared to 16 % in 2017 when we signed the charter. We have met our Charter goal of 25% prior to our deadline of 2028.

This success was driven by targeted initiatives in career development, strategic talent acquisition, and the commitment to inclusive and equitable reward and recognition practices. Looking forward, we are dedicated to enhancing our entry-level talent scheme by collaborating with organizations that promote socio-economic diversity and career mobility. We continue to support employees by addressing unconscious bias through comprehensive employee and manager training, engaging internal storytelling campaigns, and the innovative implementation of unique mentoring schemes. These efforts are designed to foster an inclusive culture that not only meets but exceeds our strategic objectives.
