Janus Henderson is pleased to announce the appointment of Manuel Schaefer as Sales Manager for Germany and Austria. Manuel, who assumed the role on 1st March 2024, will be based in Frankfurt and report to Bernd Riedel, Sales Director for Germany. Manuel will be joining the team headed by Daniela Brogt, Head of Sales for Germany and Austria at Janus Henderson.
In his new role, Manuel will be responsible for supporting and expanding Janus Henderson’s client outreach in Germany and Austria, playing a pivotal role in driving the firm’s efforts in these key strategic markets. His focus will predominantly be on building relationships with private banks, asset managers and independent asset allocators.
Manuel brings over ten years of industry experience to the role, having joined the firm from Lombard Odier, where he was Wholesale Sales Manager for Germany and Austria. Prior to that he was Vice President & Client Relationship Manager for Germany and Austria at Lyxor International Asset Management. He started his career at Hauck & Aufhauser Privatbankiers in Frankfurt. Manuel holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Applied Sciences Aschaffenburg and is fluent in English and German.
