Hugh Spencer, CFA

Hugh Spencer is Global Head of Trading at Janus Henderson Investors, a position he has held since 2025. Before this, he served as head of global head of equity trading from 2024. Hugh joined Janus in 2011 as an international equity trader working in non-US securities and and became head of Asia equity trading in 2014. Prior to Janus, he worked in prime brokerage sales and execution for derivatives and equities for NewEdge Group in Hong Kong. Earlier in his career, he was a sales trader of Japanese equities at UBS and brokered interest rate swaps at Nittan Capital.

Hugh attended Macquarie University in Sydney and is a Certified Network Engineer. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and has 20 years of financial industry experience.
