Xiaobao Wang, PhD

Xiaobao Wang is a Quantitative Researcher/Strategist conducting quantitative research for Janus Henderson Investors’ asset allocation platform. Prior to joining Janus in 2014, Xiaobao was a principal of Platinum Grove Asset Management (Platinum Grove) from 2009 to 2014. In addition, he served as managing director, research and development; director, fixed income analytics; and senior strategist. Before Platinum Grove, Xiaobao was a senior strategist at Convergence Asset Management from 1998 to 2000. Previous to that, he was a vice president of fixed income option trading at Citibank. Earlier in his career, he was a senior research associate at Gifford Fong Associates and an assistant professor at the University of Texas – Dallas.

Xiaobao has a PhD in statistics from the University of California – Berkeley as well as a master of science degree in probability theory from the Institute of Mathematics, Furan University (Shanghai). He also has a structural engineering degree from Tongji University (Shanghai). Xiaobao has 30 years of financial industry experience.
