Our efforts are meticulously guided by our DEI Committee, an integral group that includes key members from our Executive Committee, Senior Management, and the People department.

We ensure that diversity is not just a statement, but a tangible practice that demonstrates our commitment to inclusion and belonging for all employees, enhancing our results and underscoring the value of 'Diversity Improves Results.'

We believe our people are our most valuable asset in meeting the needs of our clients. As such, we make firm commitments to all employees through our Employee Value Proposition. Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)

Our ERGs are grassroots, employee-led efforts that bring colleagues together with common interests and backgrounds. Open to all employees, these groups provide an opportunity for members to meet regularly and discuss how they can make Janus Henderson a more inclusive and high-performing workplace. These groups help ensure our policies support all audiences, further our cultural intelligence, and connect the organisation to diverse populations in the community. They also work to continually implement programmes that meet the needs of our people and strengthen our global community.

The Ability Alliance

Mission: To foster a culture of respect and equity and provide a community for those of us who identify as being differently abled, as well as supporting and educating managers and allies.

JHI proudly supports Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day

JHI is proud to support Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day. This March, we celebrate the achievements of women—past and present—who have helped shape our society, created powerful legacies, and overcome challenges along the way. Throughout the month, women at JHI will share their career journeys and advice to inspire others to drive change and embrace inclusion. We look forward to hosting and sponsoring events that focus on building a gender-smart organization and honouring the contributions and resilience of women everywhere.

JHI proudly supports Black History Month

February marks Black History Month in the U.S. It is a time to reflect on and celebrate the remarkable contributions African Americans have made throughout U.S. history. Our Black Professional Network and Cultural Connections ERGs are proud to celebrate Black History Month by organizing a series of events including guest speakers, educational workshops, and community gatherings. These activities are designed to highlight the stories and accomplishments of Black professionals, provide opportunities for learning and connection, and inspire all of us to continue striving for inclusivity and excellence.

Thinking differently and challenging the status quo is a behaviour that we live daily through our ‘diversity improves results’ value. Throughout the month, we will challenge our employees to learn about and engage with diverse communities. We will encourage a more diverse way of thinking through sessions including navigating critical conversations, leveraging a multigenerational workplace, and advancing inclusion. These initiatives exemplify our investment in one another and our community because together we win.

At Janus Henderson, people are at the heart of our commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion—today and every day. We celebrate the individuality, authenticity, and contributions of our LGBTQ+ colleagues and allies, and we are proud of the inclusive culture we continue to build together. Our progress in advancing LGBTQ+ workplace equality has been recognized by the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI), where we are named a Leader in LGBTQ+ Workplace Inclusion, and by our receipt of the LGBT Great Gold Standard designation.
