Ian Warford, PhD

Ian Warford is a Director, Business Development at Janus Henderson Investors, a position he has held since 2024. He works in the UK Client Group and is responsible for the UK insurance industry and strategic accounts. Prior to joining the firm, Ian was CEO at Prudential Wealth Management from 2019 and chief information technology officer at Prudential Assurance Company from 2020. Before that, he was CEO at Navarik from 2016. Previously, he was director client and channel solutions at Deutsche Bank from 2010. Ian began his career as an investment director at USB Investment Bank in 1992 then served as global head of ecommerce at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson for two years. After that, he held roles in securities and capital markets for over eight years at Microsoft and webMethods before rejoining the financial industry.

Ian received a BEng degree in electrical engineering from Swansea University and a PhD in electrical engineering from Aston University. He has 19 years of financial industry experience.
