Sanaz Maleki, CAIA, CFA

Sanaz Maleki is Director, Institutional Sales at Janus Henderson Investors, a role she has held since joining the firm in 2026. In this role, she focuses on building relationships and delivering investment solutions to insurance companies across North America. Her career has been dedicated largely to the insurance market, giving her a distinctive perspective shaped by working across multiple sides of the insurance investment ecosystem. Prior to Janus Henderson, Sanaz served in Nuveen’s Insurance Group from 2023, partnering with insurance companies on institutional investment solutions. Before Nuveen, she was a vice president and client executive in Northern Trust’s Insurance Solutions Group from 2022, where she developed and managed insurance relationships and identified opportunities across Northern Trust’s investment and banking capabilities. Earlier, Sanaz was with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago from 2015, most recently as senior associate director of sales, where she worked with senior insurance executives to develop customized funding and balance sheet solutions. She began her insurance investment career in 2007 at Asset Allocation & Management, a Chicago-based investment manager specializing in insurance portfolios, where she gained early experience in insurance asset management, investment accounting, and client relationships.

Sanaz holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), an MS in finance, and an MBA in finance and international business both from DePaul University. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA®) designations and has 0 years of financial industry experience.
