ESG Integration

Our approach to ESG integration is thoughtful, practical, research-based, and forward-looking

At an investment level, we integrate financially material ESG factors into our analysis and processes for most of our actively managed strategies, as appropriate, to help us identify opportunities and risks and assess their potential impact on long-term value.

Responsible investing highlights

As investment professionals, our primary responsibility is to act in our clients’ best interests and support their long-term investment objectives. We seek to maximise long-term, risk-adjusted returns while fulfilling our fiduciary responsibilities. For most of our actively managed strategies, investment teams consider financially material environmental, social, and governance factors, as appropriate, alongside other fundamental investment factors. We also offer strategies designed to meet a range of client preferences and ESG objectives.

Our stewardship approach

Stewardship is an integral and natural part of Janus Henderson’s long-term, active approach to investment management.

We engage with issuers to deepen our understanding of financially material risks and opportunities and to inform our investment research. Where appropriate, we also seek to encourage improved practices or disclosure. We exercise proxy-voting rights in the best interests of our clients, consistent with our Proxy Voting Policy and Procedures.
