Matt Gaden is Senior Managing Director, Head of Australia at Janus Henderson Investors. Prior to joining Henderson in 2013, Matt had various roles with Challenger Limited from 2003, most recently as general manager of institutional business and strategic alliances for Challenger Funds Management. From 2000 to 2003, he worked for First State Investments UK as an institutional business development manager responsible for the UK and Europe. Matt was state manager, NSW/ACT, for Colonial First State Investments from 1996 to 2000.

Matt has a Diploma in business, HR, and industrial relations from the University of South Australia, a Certificate in Financial Markets, and an Investment Management Certificate in regulations and compliance from the Securities Institute of Australia. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has 38 years of financial industry experience.
