The incorporation date was 13th April 1888 and so it is one of the UK’s oldest investment trusts.

The fund manager is Alex Crooke, Co-Head of Equities – EMEA and Asia Pacific. He joined the asset management industry in 1990 and has been with Janus Henderson since 1994. Alex has managed the company since 2003.

The company’s investment benchmark is the FTSE World Index, which covers over 3,100 companies in 47 countries. The company’s Net Asset Value and share price total returns have outperformed the FTSE World index over 10 years.[1]
