In our latest Customer Panel Survey in December 2025, we asked for your thoughts on AI. We aggregated the responses from respondents so you can see what your peers are thinking.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI)

1. Companies are spending billions of dollars on AI. What is your view of this expenditure? (Select one)

A majority (60%) thought investment in AI was worthwhile for companies but 40% felt it was overhyped.

2. Which country or region will benefit most from AI? (Select one)

Interestingly, respondents felt China would be the biggest beneficiary.

3. Have you ever used any AI tools?(Select all that apply)

47% of respondents had never used AI tools directly but usage was evident among some of the more popular tools. Of those who had used AI tools, 60% said it was for personal life (e.g. planning a holiday), 13% said it was solely used in the work environment, and 27% said both.

4. Does your use of AI tools require much human intervention? (Select one)

Prompts are the commands you give the AI tool to perform an action, for example, draw a picture or analyse some data. Sometimes prompts need to be finessed to achieve the desired outcome. Those of you who were using AI tools seem to be fairly satisfied with the results.

5. Which sector do you think will benefit most from using AI? (Select one)

Respondents saw healthcare as a clear winner among the sectors, with finance a distant second. The five highest scoring sectors are shown.

7. Which of these do you consider the biggest drawback of AI? (Select up to two)

Security risks were your number one concern, closely followed by worries about jobs. Interestingly, when we asked you which jobs you thought may be most vulnerable to being displaced by AI, 52% of respondents said it would be routine and repetitive tasks, only 7% said people-facing roles and just 1% said executive leadership roles.

Existing members will continue to be included and do not need to reapply. To join the Panel, you must be 18 years of age or over and hold an investment directly with Janus Henderson Investors. The survey is conducted a few times each year; participation is voluntary. Please note that your individual responses are confidential and remain anonymous, but we may publish the aggregate results from time to time.
