The Henderson Smaller Companies Investment Trust aims to maximise shareholders' total returns by investing in smaller companies that are quoted in the United Kingdom. The company looks for quality growth companies but will only invest at a reasonable price. The incorporation date was 16^th December 1887.

The fund manager is Neil Hermon, Director of UK Equities. Neil joined the asset management industry in 1989 and has been with Janus Henderson since 2002. Neil has managed the Company since 2002.

The deputy fund manager is Indriatti van Hien. Indriatti joined Janus Henderson in 2011 and was appointed deputy fund manager of the Company in 2016.
