Ethan Lovell is a Portfolio Manager at Janus Henderson Investors, responsible for co-managing the Global Life Sciences strategy, a position he has held since 2016. Prior to this, Ethan served as assistant portfolio manager on the strategy. He is also a Research Analyst, primarily focusing on the global pharmaceutical and medical device industries, and a co-team leader of the Health Care sector research team. Before joining Janus in 2007 as a research analyst, he was a director at ClearBridge Advisors, covering companies in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. Previously, he was managing director and founding partner of Saranac Capital, LP, where he was the health care sector portfolio manager. Ethan also worked at Salomon Brothers Asset Management as a director and later managing director of the health care team. He began his career at Bear, Stearns & Co. as an equity research analyst covering biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and life science tool companies.
Ethan received his bachelor of arts degree, with a double major in chemistry and economics, from Bowdoin College and his MBA from Tulane University. He has 24 years of financial industry experience.
Henderson Global Investors merged with Janus Capital Group in May 2017.
